Calculation method

Separate fixed and variable costs

Rent, service charges, insurance, security, software, and depreciation may be fixed for the selected period. Labour, energy, maintenance, consumables, and outsourced services may vary. Custom categories remain available because no global ledger taxonomy fits every operation.

Use the right denominator

Cost per occupied pallet measures realised use. Cost per designed position measures the same cost against physical capacity. Pallet-days, area, volume, orders, lines, and units answer different operational questions and are never collapsed into one KPI.

Allocate shared cost once

A shared cost line uses one selected driver. Each entity receives its driver value divided by the driver total, multiplied by shared cost. Zero denominators return not applicable rather than Infinity.

Worked planning example

Fixed costs of 100,000 TRY and variable costs of 50,000 TRY produce a 150,000 TRY period total. At 500 average occupied pallets the cost is 300 TRY per occupied pallet; at 1,000 designed positions it is 150 TRY per designed position.
