Metric and imperial definitions

Metric stowage factor equals cubic metres divided by metric tonnes. Density in kilograms per cubic metre is 1,000 divided by that factor. The imperial result uses cubic feet per long ton and does not confuse long tons with short tons.

Optional hold-fit comparison

If you enter hold volume, usable-space efficiency, and an available weight allocation, the calculator reports the volume-limited mass, weight-limited mass, loadable mass, and governing constraint. No universal broken-stowage percentage is inserted.
